Our food has a story and it starts with Canadian farms. This full-colour magazine introduces students to some of the Canadian farm families living that story.

The Real Dirt on Farming covers topics such as:

  • the difference between growing crops conventionally and organically
  • pesticide use
  • animal housing and animal welfare
  • environmental sustainability and climate change
  • technology used in farming
  • and more.

The goal of this magazine is to help your students make informed decisions about the food they're eating.
